Soroti Sweetpotato Producers and Processors Association (SOSPPA) is farmer led association based in Serere district (Eastern Uganda) and its engaged in activities to improve and increase farmers’ livelihood and incomes through seed multiplication and production in crops such as sweetpotato, cassava, finger millet, soya bean, sorghum, maize, cowpea, green gram, farmer trainings on Good Agronomic Practices (GAP) to increase production, dissemination and promotional activities of nutrient sensitive foods crops for food security, climate change and adaptation as well as smart Agriculture, outreach programmes for community hygiene and sanitation. The association is a community-based platform for linkage with different stakeholders such as National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO), among others, that aim at improving farmers’ livelihood.
