The Global Agriculture Food Security Program (GAFSP) and the World Bank are supporting a multi-year project designed to strengthen the productive capacity and resilience of small-holder producer organisations in Uganda. The project is going to be implemented by SOSPPA in six (6) districts in Eastern Uganda; Serere, Soroti, Amuria, Katakwi, Ngora, and Bukedea. SOSPPA is being supported by International Potato Center (CIP) in capacity building during the project implementation. The project development goal is to increase production and consumption of Sweetpotato and build the resilience of the small-holder producers and processors for economic value addition in the project areas.
In June and July 2025, SOSPPA held a number of meetings to share and disclose the project documents related to the environmental and social management plan and framework with various local government stakeholders and partners from all the project districts. The available documents, including the ESMF, can be accessed by producer organizations and any interested individuals through the links provided below for public reference.
